Annual reports have a reputation for being… well… annual reports. There’s no escaping the fact that they have a lot to say. The challenge isn’t making it look pretty—it’s making sure people can actually find what they’re looking for without feeling like they’re reading a phone book.
For Cork ETB Youth Services, the report needed to communicate a year’s worth of achievements, programmes, funding, and outcomes to a wide audience. It had to satisfy the reporting requirements while still reflecting the people and communities behind the numbers.
My job was to bring all of that together into a publication that felt approachable and well organised, giving equal weight to the statistics and the stories. The end result was a report that documented the year’s work in a way that was informative, accessible, and—dare I say it—actually pleasant to read.
